Most Calgary homeowners with irrigation systems are wasting water, money, or both — without knowing it. An irrigation audit identifies inefficiencies, coverage gaps, leaks, and programming errors that add up to hundreds of dollars annually. This guide covers what an audit finds, what it costs, and what fixes deliver the best return.

How do I know if my Calgary sprinkler system is wasting water?
Check your July water bill vs a non-irrigation month. If the difference exceeds $120–$150 for a typical Calgary lot (5,000 sqft), the system may be over-programmed. Other signs: water running onto sidewalks, puddles between heads, brown spots despite watering, or a bill that’s higher than your neighbours on a similar lot. Book an audit: J.G.
