Irrigation System South Calgary, Palliser, and Bayview SW: River Valley Communities

J.G. Irrigation provides complete irrigation services in South Calgary, Palliser, and Bayview — established SW Calgary communities adjacent to the Glenmore Reservoir. These river valley communities have terrain and landscape characteristics that shape irrigation design: sloped properties overlooking the reservoir, mature tree canopy, and large established lawns typical of SW Calgary's established residential corridor. spring startup, fall blowout, repair, and new installation on the SW Calgary service route. No travel surcharge.

Palliser and Bayview: Irrigation Profile

Palliser and Bayview properties were developed primarily 1968-1985 — among the older established communities in SW Calgary. Homes in this area have large lots with mature lawns and landscaping that represent significant property investment. Irrigation systems of this vintage (where they exist) are 20-35 years old and at various stages of component aging. J.G. Irrigation provides full legacy system support as well as new system installation consultations for properties that have outgrown manual watering.

Glenmore Reservoir Area: Design Considerations

Properties backing onto the Glenmore Reservoir or adjacent to its naturalized shoreline areas have specific irrigation considerations: no irrigation water should reach or drain toward the reservoir shoreline; plants in the naturalized buffer zone adjacent to the reservoir are typically on drip, not spray; and slope-facing lots on the north shore of the reservoir need check-valve head selection for the same reasons as other SW Calgary hillside properties.
